Schaub Hall

Inside Schaub

NC State is a very large campus full of incredible opportunties.  This challenges us to create an intimate experience for each student so that he or she can take full advantage of all the university has to offer. That is Schaub Hall, which is home to a family of amazing faculty, staff, and students. Students take most of their major courses in state-of-the-art classrooms and labs on the first floor. The upper floors  are filled with labs that explore an incredible array of subjects, from peanuts to brewing to breast milk to thermal processing.

The ground floor houses a fully operational dairy plant that supplies the entire campus with Howling Cow Ice Cream. This dairy facility also makes the ice cream enjoyed by thousands at the  NC State Fair every year. A pilot plant in the basement enables trial scale operations as seen in industry settings. From top to bottom, the building is designed to prepare students for their future careers!
