National Dairy Research Centers

Six National Dairy Foods Research Centers were established, in 1987, as Centers of Excellence dedicated to conducting research to develop new and improved dairy products, processes and packaging, and to improve the safety and quality of dairy foods. Planning and research are coordinated with the Centers to avoid duplication. This provides the most efficient use of producers' check-off dollars.
