Research Interests
My research interests are related to improving maternal and infant health care by providing evidence-based research to inform health care protocols and policies. Specific research interests include: the effect of storage temperature and time on nutritional and bioactive components in human milk, the effect of human milk fortification on the bioaccessibility of calcium and phosphate for premature infants, breastfeeding promotion, best practices in donor milk banking, human milk sharing, and breastfeeding curriculum in K-12.
